okay this is how far I've gotten with putting together the ROM 03 $FF bank:
Running the buildffrom script produces the following bin files:
serial.bin $0000-3BFF (now includes the easter egg shout)
ad35driver.bin $3C00-55FF
smartport.bin $5600-63FF
diag.bin $6400-75FF
monitor.bin $7600=$FFFF (files get overlayed inside this)
c1xx.bin $C100-C1FF
c2xx.bin $C200-C2FF
c5xx.bin $C500-C6FF
c7xx.bin $C700-C7FF
applesoft.bin $D000-F7FF
I created a DOS batch file (sorry) which does the following:
copy serial.bin /b + ad35driver.bin /b + smartport.bin /b + diag.bin /b + monitor.bin /b FF0000.bin /b
copy C1xx.bin /b + C2xx.bin /b FFC100.bin /b
copy C5xx.bin /b + C7xx.bin /b FFC500.bin /b
Then with a hex editor I overlay FFC100.bin, FFC500.bin and applesoft.bin inside of FF0000.bin
which now produces a byte accurate copy of ROM 03 $FF bank.
The MPWIIGS system used a tool overlayiigs to do this but this tool is apparently lost for all of eternity...
Anyone have any ideas how to do the final pasting with a script? I've found commercial hex editors which run scripts
but they cost money...
