This is exactly the problem that I was having until you and David made 
things clear to me. You and I have similar uses (the same ones that I 
suppose many folks do, since Rich has sold a wack of these relatively 
speaking).

This would do it for me too. Once a CF volume is set-up (I have one for 
Aztec C from Mike (BluPhoenyx) and another for DOSMASTER, etc.) I don't need 
to take it back to the Windows Machine if I have the USB "sneaker-net" 
option. That was what my fussing was about...

Speaking to these CF drives, and the workflow generally, I have found that 
CP/M 80 disks for my Applicard are really easy to make too. Everything is 
generally easy. It sounds like it got even easier.

I'd better get my name on Mr. Dreher's pre-order list for his next run. It 
is time to broaden my own horizons yet again. We have such great tools to 
play with on the Apple II today. When I look back to my days 
cross-developing for the Apple II (late 80's, early 90's); using a null 
modem cable and a super serial card and ProTERM to get my programs over to 
the Apple II, we are defnitely spoiled today by comparison.
