It set me back over $130USD and I would like to make a backup and put the original away for safe keeping. Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo are no help at all. There is one parameter list on Textfiles.com for EDD which did not work.

Would probably need to look at the format at either the nibble level or via a boot trace to see how the disk is laid out. Or, since it's a Datamost game, could experiment with other parameter settings from similar era titles of theirs.

If you've used ADT to transfer disk images from the Apple to a PC, then could grab track 0, sector 0, or a nibble image of track 0 (using the latest ADT Pro) and have a look at the data. Or can use The Inspector to get a nibble dump of a track, BSAVE it as a file, and use ADT to transfer it. Any of these would allow a look at how the disk is formatted (at least for part of the boot). Once the loader or RWTS is loaded, then it could be used to read the rest of the disk.

Bilestoad was a single load game though, so the file itself is available from places like asimov. You can use ADT to transfer that back to the Apple and play it instead of the original disk too.
