I totally agree! Thanks so much for buying this and involving the community.

You said your goal is to back it up. To do this you need to know which tracks it's using etc, so you really need to boot code trace it or image it to a file and send that to the gurus here to work on it. Boot code tracing is much easier with an emulator, which makes getting a NIB image up and running much easier too.

Usually I use SST but Antoine's "i'm fEDD up" looks easier to use:

Using either of those you could capture whole and half tracks and someone here can get it working and then identify how to copy it so you can make your backup.
