I have a Gravis joystick, got it in about 1987 I think, and while it's
not fantastic, it has served me fairly well.  It's got a comfortable
feel and can sit and stay on a desk due to its rubber feet.

I have one of the little Apple beige joysticks too, and I prefer the
Gravis one any day.
