Hi Jayson,

This seems to be an interesting idea - albeit grossly over-engineered.

You do realise that battery replacements are *very* inexpensive and the 3.6V batteries last for many years.

Even if you have a ROM00 or ROM 01 IIgs, there are options out there to replace the 3.6V battery with a battery pack (e.g. of 3 AAA batteries).

I've struggling to see why you would need such a complex solution for such a trivial task.

Having Wifi is one thing, but to have it just for the sake of updating the clock and battery RAM?? I'd love to read about someone implementing such a card (after all it would be an awesome hack). Would I buy one? I think not.

Having a general purpose Wifi card would be much more tempting.

That's my 2 cents worth anyhow.
