I lived in Salina for three years while growing up, and even though I was only 5-8 years old during our stint there, I remember it as a pretty dull place.
Two exceptions:
- Apparently there is a significant amount of SCCA road racing that takes place in Salina, if you're into that sort of thing (I am)
- Watching tornadoes from the front porch was pretty awe-inspiring
