Not necessary turn-based games (the movement and response will be faster) but it just waits on your instruction.

On the Apple IIgs, I enjoyed Wind Walker (turn-based, but timeout per turn) and Out of This World to be played on an accelerator. But I recall a conversation on csa2; if the game uses the computer clock as their counter; then an accelerated game becomes really good to play (latency factor removed). However, if it does not use the computer clock, then the game clock may go too far and the whole game runs on steroids.
