Maybe try using Ciderpress to remove individual files out of the compressed .bxy image.  Removing the Finder.data files might be enough to allow it to fit on a disk.

I think the larger problem is that Tempest doesn't have a 'hard drive' (real or virtual) to copy these files to at the destination. This isn't a "insert disk #1" and then "ok, insert disk #2" sort of game distribution... it all has to fit somewhere at the destination in one place. This might be doable on a RAM drive, but then you need an unshrinker there too... unless we uncompress beforehand and split into more images.

Disk 1 was about 880k uncompressed... so just the Finder data won't get us where we need to be. All unpacked, I think I counted about 3.025 disks required... so it's just slightly larger than three. But once unpacked, we also have to contend with file/size boundaries too, so there's not much hope of doing it without a total of four.
