Keep your eyes out for a Samsung 730MW or 940MW LCD TV/Monitor on eBay. Both have a SCART RGB input and will work with a IIgs, given the proper cable.
Or, go the premium route and pickup a Cyp CM-345S SCART-to-XGA converter. This yields a better picture and will drive any VGA LCD monitor. I purchased one from www.converters.tv in Oz (branded as a Highway Model 100) and found another on eBay in the UK. Pricey, but worth it in my opinion. It also works very well with Amiga interlaced modes, displaying them with zero flicker.
