If you stick to plain .do/.dsk and .po files, it is very straightforward indeed. Much like the original ADT, .do and .po are imaged block by block. (Well, ADT used tracks/sectors; ADTPro uses blocks.)
Seems like you could ignore all the fancy stuff that AppleCommander brings in, like support for .shk/.sdk files. Anything that the client sends will only be .do/.po in any case.
