In the disk archive P8Merlin_Utils2.do, you will find two utilities
MICMAC is a program that allows you to enter single key along with the OA/SA
key under BASIC.SYSTEM BI prompt or from your Applesoft program and get a
macro returned. MICDEF is an Applesoft program to manage your macros and
store/retrieve them to/from a binary file on disk.
ALIAS is a program allowing you to use command shortcuts for usual
BASIC.SYSTEM commands. As usual, a companion Applesoft program (ALIDEF)
serves the purpose of helping the user with more mondane tasks related to
ALIAS usage.

By studying source files, PATH compatible versions of external commands can
be built (and provide additional features in case of MICMAC).
