But remember: one step after another (thats something that i didn't do at first ;-). I would suggest to replace the CPU first, then test. Try to check one thing at a time. Up to now, i have brought 4 ZIPs back to life (out of a batch of 6; one won't be stable) and 2 TWGS (one thought dead, the other buggy). The ZIPs are far more easy to Upgrade/'repair', but if the ASIC dies all is lost. The TWGS on the other hand can most likely be brought back to life as long as the board is ok (since nearly every IC can be replaced!) Be really careful on the cache-board. Too much stress (from heat or force) can ruin the traces. If you can get it back to life, you will most likely hit a wall at 14mhz when it comes to overclocking. The cache-board itself is not designed to reach that far. Joachim Lange had some 32k boards for sale, that might get you beyond 14mhz. Both TWGS i have are stable at 14mhz/32k with the 32k modified 8k cache-board. But i have real Problems keeping the IIgs cool (even if ventilated). The TWGS is a heat-monster. Put a CFFA3000, a HS-SCSI, a 6mb Ramcard and a 150W power supply into that case as well and the IIgs will melt!
