I think the language card is hard-wired so that its ROM shows up in the
F8 block; if there's anything else than an Apple Monitor ROM there, the
system won't boot.

However you could plug it into one of these Applesoft ROM cards (the
ones with room for 6 ROMs) at D0 or D8 together with an Old Monitor ROM
at F8. Or plug it into the mainboard of a IIplus together with an Old
Monitor ROM. Or basically plug it into any expansion card that's
designed to make a 2K ROM visible in the C8 block, such as a super
serial card or any of a variety of parallel printer cards. Maybe even
the ProFile interface card itself?

Then save the ROM to tape from the Monitor, restore hardware to its
normal state, boot DOS or ProDOS, reload the ROM from tape and save to disk.
