that post is actually my first attempt :)

i wired it up by probing the contacts and mapping the cols/rows by trial and error. it works, but there's some weirdness with a few of the keys. i figured a full pinout would be more complete than my own.

and FYI, i'm working on getting USB <-> AppleII working both directions.
