For those interested in a SSC based interface to external storage (and time
services), check out Gary Becker's work in the Yahoo "applefpga" group.
DriveWire was originally developed for the Tandy CoCo, but is well documented
and extensible. Aaron Wolfe develops and maintains a Java-based server that
will run on a multitude of platforms.
I've wanted to see an Apple DW client for quite a while.
