It seems that common wisdom on the net is that the Wallstreet will read and write 800k floppies but I have one and it certainly does not work with 800k floppies. Any more ideas for a portable with 800k support?


You must use OS9, not OSX.

You must have the File Exchange Control Panel in the Control Panels folder.

If the disk does not mount on the desktop, then not much you can do.
If the disk does mount but you get read/write errors, then download Bernie2theRescue and boot into GSOS 6.

This should allow you to read/write to Prodos and HFS 800 kb disks.
