Apologies to Steve (and the rest of the group) ...

I think I _waaaay_ overcomplicated this with my previous posts.

Just try (using a STOCK AppleWorks 5.1):


1. Disable the perforation skip on your HP Desktop (either with a DIP switch
setting {older DJ} or with a PCL ESC sequence sent from an AppleWorks
Special Code. This is paramount, and provides for a FULL 66 lines (both
printable and NON printable) at 66 LPI.

2. Set up a TABLES report for your Database using 22 lines per record @ 6
LPI, 11" Paper Length, 0" Top Margin and 0" Bottom Margin. If necessary, use
the OA-I command to insert blank lines where need them and the OA-B command
to insert any background text (e.g. - a comma) you desire printed.

3. Set 'Accepts Top of Page Command' to NO for the Printer Settings,
although it MAY not matter with these parameters.

4. Print to your postcard sheets.


Sorry for the wasted bandwidth with the previous posts. TimeOut ReportWriter
is powerful, but not really needed now, at least for this job.
