Which format is most preferred? It seems like .dsk and its associated
formats are the one. What about 2MG?

2MG can have some nice meta-information. It's widely supported. It's also nice because it eliminates any of the "po vs. do" ambiguity inherent in typical floppy images. Further, some knuckleheads used a .dsk extension for DiskCopy 4.2 images, and even some .sdk shrunk images. So ".dsk" is overloaded and ambiguous.

But I secretly like .po for its raw simplicity... just ProDOS ordered blocks, no questions asked. Any size you like.
