Hiya Ewen,
I've managed to get SAFE2 up and running and talking to my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.8 via FTP. This is brilliant. I am considering upgrading to Mountain Lion not long after its released (nice of Apple to let me skip Lion) and this could well be the new method I can pull across files into disk images, given that I won't be able to use ADFS due to it requiring Rosetta, which was removed from Lion.
Does this kit include specific modifications to either Marinetti or the apps to make this work through Sweet 16 v2.3.1? I remember getting most of this to work over 12 months ago, but it stopped working after Sheppy released the last version of Sweet 16? I always thought there was something specific with the last Sweet 16 that made it stop working.
Using SAFE2, I was having issues going beyond the root directory of Asimov or GNO last night, but not having any such issues today - not sure why. It's really awesome being able to directly download into the virtual IIGS!
After playing around with SNAP, I finally got it working too. This message is proof, sent from SNAP itself! It'd be nice to re-order posts according to subject, sender and date, but we can't have everything :-) I do find it strange that it's pulled posts from the 21st of June and is listing posts from the 22nd after posts on the 21st. Is there any way to list posts from newest to oldest?
There is something a bit strange with the Starter Kit however. When I boot with it on Sweet 16 v2.3.1 with a ROM01 selected, it always pauses during startup to tell me that I don't have enough RAM to run the Finder and so it takes me to the Program Launcher instead. From there, however, I can successfully run the Finder without the memory issue. Odd. I've tried unactivating all included NDAs, but that hasn't had any effect.
Anyways, this is great! I'll get into SAM2 once it supports IMAP ;-)
Thanks again!
