After listening to Open Apple podcast #15 and hearing Mike's tale of
Randy's IIgs battery leaking, I was a bit spooked and have pulled out
my IIgs motherboards to check them.
I'm going to pull the batteries from each (they can't be working any
more).
But I'm wondering what will happen without any battery in the
machine.
I know the battery ram settings and time are lost but is that it?
I've read the FAQ and done a search here, but have not found too many
mentions of this.
It appears that the IIgs does work with no battery connected at all,
but is this detrimental in some way?
