Thanks Geoff.  I did try using the "nbplkup" program (with no params)
which does list all AppleTalk devices on the network.  However, the
only one that shows up is my Netatalk server.  The AsanteTalk does not
show up which makes me think that it is not using Phase 2 AppleTalk
for some reason or another.  And, I can clearly see the the AsanteTalk
is linking to the switch, its link light and the switch's link lights
are lit solid.  At this point I am stumped.  I've looked to see if
there's a way to get Netatalk to broadcast more frequently and other
things, and I've tried restating Netatalk at the same time as bringing
up the AsanteTalk, and so far I just can't get any combination of the
two to get the thing to show up. Arghh...
