Picked up an AppleCD 300. Never used a CD-ROM with an Apple II and
thought it'd be fun. After installing all the 6.0.1 drivers, hooking
it up and sticking in a audio cd, all I got in return were I/O errors
when trying to do anything from the Media Controller. Then I came
accross this document off asimov which says you can't play audio cds
from an AppleCD 300 model:
http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/ftp.apple.asimov.net/documentation/hardware/storage/disks/apple_ii_cd-rom_drives.pdf
I just wanted to confirm this was still the case and no new special
drivers could fix that?
My Media CTRL is currently set up for AppleCDSC as my media device and
AppleSCSI.CDROM01.00 as my port (just in case it's user error and not
a compatibility issue).
