that is a kind of "which side are you looking form" situation ... if
your caps on the mobo are becoming questionable then yes the system
would behave better with more input filtering to compensate for the
lacking on the mobo but ...
see how it goes, but I would look at both ends of the dog before I
decide which is heads and tails
