So, I was excited to go try this thing out. Well, it didn't work.

The problems seems to be that the program disk is too new, and the
Library-Macro disk, as well as the manuals and rest of the package, are
older.

Here's what I've got:

- The program disk (which also has utilities on its back side) is blue and
is from 1987. It boots up and displays ORCA/4.1 at the top of the screen.
When it assembles and asks for a disk with libraries, it asks for
/LIBRARIES. This is a disk I don't have; mine is called /LIBRARY.

- The library-macro disk is black and is from 1984. This disk was in the
ORCA/M slip case with the manual. Now, the interesting thing is that the
getting started booklet makes reference to a SUBLIB disk. I do not have this
disk! The closest I have is /LIBRARY.

Also, the manual makes reference to a SYSGEN program. Again, I do not have
that. Lastly, a folded sheet of paper contains "last minute changes to
ORCA/M 4.0b" So I assume that this is the version that corresponds with the
black disk and reference manual.

I was able to assemble and run the sample program from the manual.

What I would like to know is if it is possible to use these two disks
together, even though they seem to be from different versions of ORCA/M. I'm
also interested in other remarks and feedback about ORCA/M.

Here are photos of all that I have:
