Yes, read up on ADT. Another method is using an older Mac. You can even boot
your IIgs from floppy and use a Mac as a file server. Not as fast as a hard
disk, but a lot better than just floppies. That also would allow you to
easily transfer files from the net to your IIgs.

Your fellow Aussies can probably tell you what your low-cost options are.
Generally, if you can find them in thrift shops etc you can get them very
cheaply. If you have to pry one from he hands of another Apple enthusiast,
it's gonna cost you.
