Possibly a power problem.  You may have too much stuff drawing electrons
form the power supply.  Try running the computer with only one drive and
see if that solves the problem.  If you are running only one drive at a
time, try removing something else that draws too much power.  

Feel the power supply and see how hot it gets.  If it gets uncomfortable
to hold, it is too hot and is probably overloaded.  A cooling fan will
allow you to get more electrons out of the power supply.  The catch-22
of power supplies it that the more power the it supplies the hotter it
gets, the hotter it gets the less power it is able to supply.
