Early Mac Mouse --> Apple II Mouse Card ?

Greetings,

	Forgive me if this has already been covered- but please remind me:

	Are the early Mac mice (used in the original Mac and a few others
after, before ADB- and way before USB) and the Apple II mouse card
interface (for an Apple //e) compatible? I'd like to connect a mouse to
my Apple //e, and I was wondering if this setup is useable.
