Not everyone started with Apple II's, too. I started with PC's in '90, then
bought a Mac Plus at a garage sale, and then a IIc at a garage sale. Think
of it as an upgrade path. ;-)  Actually, I like 'em all. What's sad is
today's Wintel monopoly.
I think it quite reasonable that someone who likes Macs would think it's
cool to pick up an Apple II.  I think that's what she meant by the
'all-important addition to their Mac life'. She's not going to give up her
Mac for the Apple II, but she has an appreciation for her Mac's lineage.
