What about running CP/M on a IIgs using the 3.5 inch drives?
Unfortunately I don't own one, only a II+ and a IIe... and the IIgs are
kind of hard to find in Europe (as they were never officially sold
here.), also I wouldn't be able to use my composite monitor (or rather I
wouldn't get color) as the IIgs is NTSC only when it comes to color.
I don't know if there was a patch for CP/M to see the larger capacity
drives, though it wouldn't be too hard to implement.
Probably... especially if source code exists. However it sounds like
quite a bit of work anyway. At the least I have to buy a 3.5 inch drive
plus controller.
There were patches for Apple2 CP/M to allow it to run with a 5MB
(or 10mb, I can't remember) Hard disk.
Hmmm... I don't own one :-(
The AppleII oasis emulator supports a virtual harddisk on your PC.
In that case it's probably easier to run some PC word processing software...
Perhaps this might be an avenue to explore?
In general, probably yes... however for me probably no...
I have to admit that this is more about getting it to work than about
absolutely having to get it to work in my case, thogh.
