Re: GBBS PRO v1.3g
Steve,
I have offered to help you fix ACOS/GBBS a long time ago. You stopped
talking to me.
I offered to create a Win32 port for ACOS/GBBS so people can run their BBS's
on "new hardware". You stopped talking to me.
Maybe it was the c.s.a2 vogons who changed your mind. I don't know. The
bottom line is that you have had opportunities to fix the issues with
ACOS/GBBS.
People aren't asking for technical support. They are asking for replacement
copies of software they already purchased. If they are licensed users, and
you refuse to accomodate their needs for replacement media, you have no
grounds for your "copyright violations" statements. Why do you care if they
download an image that was not authorized by you? They already bought the
product. They aren't asking for technical support, and you aren't offering
it.
You have held the rights to ACOS/GBBS for how many years now? Believe me, I
understand all about time (and the lack thereof). And no-one is criticizing
you for not having the time to throw into the effort. But shit or get off
the pot. Either make a commitment to a release date, start providing
replacement media or release the software as no-pursue-ware.
