That file appears to be the Reference file from the System 6.0.1
synthLAB disk with the resource fork stripped off and saved with a
text extension.  Some of the formatting is messed up and it has a
bunch of characters with the high bit set making it look a little
strange.

It is better just to view the actual Teach file from the synthLAB
disk.  If someone needs or wants to be able to view that Teach file on
another system or with any non-Teach capable program, then they would
be better off loading the Teach file into a Teach capable program and
using that program's save as feature to save it as a text file to
avoid the high bit problem of the file above.
