Re: Apple II gs online

Hi,

An Ethernet card is just like any other plug in card for a A2, PC,
etc. It's function is to connect a computer to a network usually via
hubs, routers or switches. This allows you to share files, internet
connections, etc.

The ethernet card in itself won't get you on the Internet. You'll
need a live internet connection (via DSL, Cable, T1, etc) that feeds into
a network via a router, hub, etc. If your compuer has the ethernet card
and is properly set up, then you'll be able to get on the internet.

If your work place has a network and a live internet connection
hooking multiple computers, try looking at the back of your computer and
you should see the outside of an Ethernet card.

For more information....try online seaching for "Ethernet" and seeing
the descriptions. Otherwise, bookstores have plenty of books on basic
neworking.
