Re: Europlus PAL card questions
(Mailed as well as posted.)
I assume I could've written in German, however then the others don't
understand what we're talking about...

Sorry, made a mistake. It is a baseband video output. I've drawn a
schematic diagram of the card some time ago, and just took a look at it.
You cannot adjust the video level, P3 (500 Ohm) sets only the modulator
input level.
Some cards have this VHF output, but not this type. The VHF modulator is
on the pcb, it is not an extra box.
Ah, OK I see.
I can send you a copy of the schematic, it's around 200kB. The circuit
is very interesting, they use a TCA650 PAL decoder chip as an encoder.
I would be really, really grateful for that. Then maybe I can find out
what is wrong with the card. I was wondering already what the TCA650 was
doing on the card.
My email address given in this posting is the real one.
The card gets /TEXT on pin 23, Video on pin 28, 14M on pin 24, ColorRef
on pin 35, Sync on pin 19, and +12V, Gnd. That means you do not
necessarily need a slot for the card. Doublesided tape and a couple of
wires will work, too.
Well, I haven't used slot 7 so far, so I think it might not be
necessary... except that of course measuring is easier with the card not
in a slot.
Thanks a lot in advance.
