Do you not remember that at about the same time Apple changed all its
computers from beige to platinum (about the same time as the IIgs was
introduced), IBM introduced the PS/2 and switched all their cases from
grey to beige?


The PS/2 line is a white (keeping in mind the "shades" of white one can buy at a paint store), not a beige, certainly not the same color, or even close to the same color Apple used for the ][Plus, IIe, Lisa, ///, or the early Macs.
