I have posted this three times!  lets see if this time it works:
When I 1st read this thread I picked up a Apple II disk laying about (it was a 
IIC+ tour disk) and slammed it into the Imation. I saw the icon with the II on 
it on the desktop so I shot off my reply. I had not "used" it really, I tried 
it and it worked.  well so I thought.  So, after reading that it didn't work I 
figured; maybe its broken good?  So this time I slammed in a ProDOS disk and 
OPENED it.  Imation made a tel-tale grinding noise and up popps a I/O error 
and a opertunity to erase or format this obviously awful disk.  Oh well.
