A quick check of his feedback shows that he bid for and won a IIgs
and your 3.5" drive on January 5 and 6, then bid for a "complete"
IIgs "Woz" system and won it (for $51) on January 11.  Since the
system came with drives, it seems probable that he decided to
default on the first IIgs CPU and your drive, since he acquired others
in the 1/11 auction.  (BTW, he had already won your auction before
he bid on the complete system.)

I see other examples like this, and it's unfortunate.  If he were more
experienced, he might better appreciate the onus of negative feedback.
