<< Jay,
This is news to me.... I guess I thought ProDOS after 1.9 was for the GS only.
In other words, I thought it was a 16 bit version for the 65C816 chip.
I admit, I am actuall pretty new to ProDOS because I was an Apple II+ hacker
most of
the time, and used DOS 3.3. So when I decided to do this project I realized it
would
only really be feasible if I used/supported ProDOS 8. Indeed, I ended up buying
a Apple IIe platinum
for this project, to be able to run ProDOS well. The II+ really doesn't have
enough memory.
I know I have a lot of research to do, with everyones questions. And the first
thing
is to determine which versions of ProDOS and GS/OS my firmware will support.
Do you no a good sites that spell out the version history of Apple II OS's?
Thanks,
Rich
