Any 800k or 1.4mb Auto-inject drive mechanism should work.
Compatible mechanisms are found in the
Mac Plus, SE, SE30, Classic, Classic II, Color Classic, Mac II, IIx, IIcx,
IIci, IIsi, IIvi, IIvx , IIfx, LC, LCII, LCII LCIII+, LC520, LC550,
Performas 200 250 275 400 405 410 430 450 460 466 467 520 550 560
and 600, Centris or quadras 610 650 660700 800 900 950. I know I
missed a few but any one of those will have a compatible mechanism.

If yoy have 512k then you have a memory card with a lot of empty
sockets in it. If you fill the card then you'll likely have 1.25mb which
is generally considered a marginal amount of RAM for later IIgs
system software. If you want to do much your best bet would be to
get a Sirius RAM card from Altech. You can buy them with 2 to 8mb.
The cards use 30 pin SIMMs and 2mb cards can be expanded to 8mb.
You can also get a Focus ide card from them.

shipping might be costly http://www.wbwip.com/shh/

SCSI cards are only available used nowadays and are often pricey
