Actually Greg is correct. There were posts about Software and More when these groups were part of deja.com.
I live about 50 miles from where the store was. Someone who was really upset complained that they weren't responding to his attempts to contact them. There were a couple of others who also chimed in about the store. I offered to go up and talk to them, because I empathized with them.
My son and I bought some things from them when I was a newbie. I bought a cut sheet feeder and IWLQ for some bucks. When I got home I discovered the sheet feeder was missing some parts, but it was functional. The IWLQ had a pin not printing. At the store they had a page stuck in the platen showing a perfect self-test. As I already had an LQ, I realized I was a fault for not running the self-test on it before I left the store. There were a couple of small things that Paula was unpleasant about making
good before that. I realized I had been stupid to trust them to be honest. I took the losses. As a result I won't support them even if they have perfect ratings on ebay. Now your grins have produced some positive results.

"How pathetic. Now you resort to accusing me of working for them. One wouldexpect someone with no evidence to accuse a total stranger of being involved as co-owner or some oth bullshit. Just for grins I searched the
newsgroups and e-bay. Where is this evidence? Where are all these
imaginary people that you say they ripped off? Why don't you show the
evidence? They've got 550 e-bay auctions with positive feedback yet you
can't even give ONE single e-bay auction that proves your story. If people
were ripped off, what e-bay auction item numbers were they and why didn't
any of these people post negative feedback? Where's the record of all
these scams you claim they've done? Other then your word, you have no
evidence. "
