It sounds like you're looking for Little Brick Out, which came on the
old DOS 3.3 System Master disk.  It's rather basic (pardon the pun), but
for nostalgia it can't be beat.  For something more modern, Arkanoid and
Arkanoid II are available for the GS.

There was also a program by Bill Budge in the late 70's that contained 4
Pong-style games, but I can't for the life of me think of the name right
now.  Anyone?
