Hey folks,
Been some time since I booted my IIe up but because of a small Apple
II related web project (more on that as I finish up) I gave some old II
programs a spin and was happy to see the IIe boot and run some old
programs.
However, the IIe still has much the same problem it has had for a few
years now. The text is displayed is displayed "double" (ie AAppllee
IIIIee) during bootup and as well as time programs are running.
The Hi-Res graphics display is also screwed up. I assume these two
issues may be related. As I have never been familiar with the ins and
outs of the II hardware, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions to
correct the problem?
While it's not likely I'll go back to my IIe too much (just not enough
time in a day) I may make a little time for it because I did not realize
how much used software I picked up a few years back. I have a ton of
"newer" games that I never really explored. So it would be nice to get
the IIe into working order again.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Don
