	I did some research on my //e hard drive and came across an old letter of mine
to Techware Corporation:

"There is a mention in the Echo II manual of a THIRD way to utilize speech and
the Echo II, beyound the female's compressed speech and the robotic maile
voice.  With the output jacks in the back of the Apple II to record voice, or
any sound, onto a disk as a file that can be called up and read by the Echo
card."

	Looks like a call to Street Electronics is in order.
