The scan line doublers I mentioned use the RGB output from the Amiga
(and therefore should also work with the IIgs RGB port) so the colour
and monochrome output for those should be quite nice. It should end
up looking much like it does when using a Commodore 1084 RGB monitor
on the Amiga or the AppleColor RGB monitor on the IIgs.

You only get colour fringing when using a composite video signal so
when using an RGB doubler, there is no need to kill the colour burst
as you will always end up with a sharp image. In fact, the IIgs takes
advantage of this. If you use the Display Control Panel and change
from colour to monochrome, you kill the colour burst on the composite
video output only. The RGB output will still be in colour. This
makes it easier to read text on a colour composite monitor and makes
colours appear as solid shades instead of vertical lines on a
monochrome composite monitor while leaving any RGB monitor you may
have attached to continue to display colour.
