Can anyone figure this out?

    	I have a problem with the keyboard on my Apple //e. Although all other 
keys are free of problems, the 'a' and 'z' keys don't work. I tried opening 
it up and looking, but there does not appear to be a mechanical problem, and 
all the internal connections are secure, leading me to believe this is a 
hardware malfunction. Anybody have a similar problem, or know how to fix it?     
I can provide more detailed system information if neccessary.
