Thanks for the info, Phil. I have an Apple ///, so I'll keep it with that.
Interesting that the electronics are incompatible. I have it open (I have
been fixing Apple joysticks, I have three but none worked.) and it looks
about the same inside. The outer parts are identical, except for the color
of the plasic knob on the stick.
BTW, I got all my buttons working by spritzing the switches with WD40. Some
switches have a small hole on the bottom that the WD40 seeped in thru, the
others I got it in thru the top, around the metal that retains the
microswitch. It was like magic, within seconds they were functional.
