Not quite. The Mac XL had a different screen resolution than the Lisa (square
pixels instead of rectangular), and somewhat different ROMs. My understanding is
that the XL couldn't run the Lisa 7/7 any longer, and so was properly called a
"Mac" extra large, the XL referring to the larger screen and the much larger (2
megs) memory.
