Brian Troha published a deprotection mod in issue #61 of Computist. You
copy both diskettes. On the copy of Disk 1, you go to Block $258 (600
decimal) and change Byte $14 from 20 to AD and save the block.

If you do not find 20 E3 17 starting at Byte $14, search for (hex) 9C E1
17 20 E3 17 AD E1 17 and, when you find it, change the 20 to AD and save the
block.

The hard disk install may not work on most current IIgs's because DOTC
was released for an early version of GS System. In issue #83 of Computist,
Robin Locksley describes a way to get the game to install on hard disk and
run under GS System 5.04 (which may be close enough to work under Sys 6.01).

The fix is applied to the file DOTC.ICON. Using an icon editor, you open
DOTC.ICON. You should get two icons. Click on the blank icon. Select Edit and
CLEAR. Now, SAVE the file.
