Re: A Few Q's Before I Take the Plunge
I'm in SiliconValley as well and out of the bunch of GSes I've come across,
I've only been able to find/buy a couple of Rom 3's (heck, I've seen/bought
more Rom01 GSes in orig boxes than ANY Rom 3's - in any shape!).
I remember that when 00 and 01's hit the market, everyone I knew bought one,
then when the rom 03 came around, most of the folks I knew just didn't think
it was worth buying a new one - I suspect that most of the potential GS
buyers here in silicon valley bought their computer early on (market was
saturated) then when 03 came around, everyone who wanted a GS already had
one, and apparently those with one just didn't see the 03 as a significant
reason to upgrade (specially if you already had the memory expansion card)
so very few 03's where directed to schools/dealers in this are. Or, some
guy/gal is just spending all day driving around buying up all of the 03es...
so to all those 'blessed' with 03's in their areas, send a few down our
way - we'll gladly send you a few 01's to 'balance' your pickings :-)
