I bought Star Saga One for the Apple, can't remember if it was //e or
GS. Star Saga Two is the sequel, in the same format.
It's a party game. The heavy box contains several booklets about
40-50 pages long, each with large amounts of text to read. It plays
like this: Each person gets a character to play, and a booklet
associated with that character. You read the opening for your
character and then each person gets a turn at the computer (hot-seat)
but rather than everyone standing around discussing the game or
socializing, you get a passage to read which takes you to your next
turn at the computer. The passage may be several pages. I can't
remember how it ends, but the unique play must be experienced as a
group. However many is the maximum number of players is how many you
should get together the first time you open the box, and all must
learn together. This game has little to no replay value as it is
basically a story which unfolds as you play and once you know the
ending there's not much point.
Sorry if I'm being redundant, I just re-read what Rubywand said and
it's pretty accurate, but I have elaborated on several points, so I'm
gonna post it anyway. :P
